Robin Williamson (of legendary folk group The Incredible String Band) master harpist and storyteller, author of The Craneskin Bag, & Celtic Bards, Celtic Druids (with RJ Stewart)
&
Kevan Manwaring MA, winner of the Bardic Chair of Caer Badon, storyteller, creative writing teacher & author of The Long Woman and The Bardic Handbook (due May 2006 from Gothic Image Publications)
The ancient wisdom of Britain and the Isles remains now as it always was and will be: in Annwn – the magical Otherworld beside us everyday, beneath the sea, below the hill, round the next turning, betwixt every between, as close to us as we are to ourselves.
But how to access it?
This workshop with Robin Williamson (supported by Kevan) explores the heart of the Celtic tradition: the acquisition of inspiration. The workshop deals with aspects of the bardic heritage – the sacred directions, the bardic scales, as well as practical work with key bardic stories and their performance meaning and function.
Bring pen, paper, stories, poems, songs and an instrument if you wish.
